Why Freshness Matters
Coffee is a perishable product. Like fresh bread or produce, it has a peak window where flavor is at its best. For roasted coffee, this is typically between 3 and 14 days after roasting.
The Degassing Process
After roasting, beans release carbon dioxide. Brewing too soon can result in a sour taste, while waiting too long leaves the coffee flat and stale.
